Okay, maybe just one more post for today.

My son is so much fun and keeps us rolling with the things that are coming out of his mouth these days. Sometimes you just take for granted that he understands something and then he says what he THINKS it is and it is back to the starting point. So here are a few of the recent gems.

said of the 2 year old who spent the night. He has a speech delay and doesn't really form words yet..."Mama, why is he speaking Spanish?"

said upon waking in early April to realize that our nice weather had morphed into a dusting of snow on the ground..."Oh MAN, why isn't it Spring anymore? I don't want winter. I want SPRING."

said when passing a local small cow pasture..."Cool, mama! Are those the cows with the milk penises?" At this point I realized that while he has seen milking and is very familiar with cows, it doesn't seem like we have ever actually identified cow anatomy for him. We have now.

said while putting on a button-down shirt this morning...."Look, Daddy! I am almost handsome now."

said when telling his friends about his two new pets..."This linny pig is named Sally and this linny pig is named Flo." We cannot seem to make him understand that the GUINEA pig on the Wonder Pets is named Linny and that he isn't a LINNY pig. He is very happy with his new pets, though.

said when trying to negotiate for another pet at the pet store..."But, mama, a Tarantula is an AMAZING and FURRY spider. PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEE."
